At Burton HQ we’re smartening up our wardrobe with the best AW13 trends. Inspired by everything British, here’s our seasonal dress code with an effortlessly cool air…
Skinny, vintage-wash jeans look so good with a great pair of tan brogue lace boots. The look you’ll achieve will walk the fine line between rugged and refined, and you’ll be surprised just how versatile this brogue boot and skinny jean combo can be. For aw13, we teamed this look with a patterned long sleeve shirt but it will look just as cool with a simple crew neck t-shirt.
“Wear more colour and texture” are my words of wisdom for this season. The crew neck is the must have style and this one has been designed with contrast rib detail to the cuffs, collar and hem as well as a contrast elbow patch. You’ll see a lot of contrasting this autumn - the devil is in the detail guys!
A fashionable blazer will see you through autumn, well into winter and back out into spring! I will definitely be wearing one of our tweed blazers with a pair of old favourite vintage wash denim jeans and a smart-casual long sleeve shirt. This outfit is perfect Saturday brunch material, especially if there’s someone for you to impress!
Paisley is this season's new must have pattern to wear. We put this print one on a cotton long sleeve shirt that layers up perfectly with any of our tweed blazers. I would say to stay on the smarter side, team your shirt and blazer combo up with a pair of skinny dark wash jeans. Pull on a knitted beanie when the temperature drops for spot on autumn style.
Mustard is a great autumnal colour for 2013. Keep wearing it with blue hues and dark denim to stay on the right side of cool. The patch trend continues into this autumn and these tweed shoulder patches on our mustard sweater give a gentle nod towards the ‘heritage trend’ which promises to be a style hit this season.
I already own a pair of these grey skinny jeans - they’re so versatile and are one of the hottest AW13 trends. They offer a slightly grungier or ‘rocker’ feel which is perfect to see you through from Saturday night dinner to going out on the town after. Perfect when teamed with a white Oxford shirt – remember to pay attention to the details with clever accessories.
